Playoff Football has arrived in the Treasure State and the Whitefish Bulldogs are one of the last 12 teams standing.
The Dawgs capped off an impressive regular season with a 4th quarter comeback against Bigfork. Whitefish finished the season season 6-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play and are the No. 2 seed out of the Northwest "A" for the Playoffs.
The Dawgs had some impressive wins: the aformentioned comeback against Bigfork, they won a defensive slugfest against Eureka.
They also had a first that I've never seen before: A game (vs. Havre) cancelled due to the weather.
The Dawgs have been road warriors this season, a perfect 4-0 away from home.
Now they return home, for one final game at the Dawg Pound. It's Halloween and the Dawgs plan to bring out all the stops. Whitefish hosts Butte Central in the first round. Last time these two teams met was 2022 and Whitefish was victorious 37-20 that year.
Today, hear from Captains Sam Akey and Anderson Barrile to preview the upcoming contest.
It's the Dawgs vs. the Butte Central Maroons to kick-off postseason play. This will be the 8th meeting between these two schools since 2000.
