We've reached the halfway point of the High School Basketball season for both Whitefish Bulldog Teams.
The girls are off to one of their best starts in team history as they sit at 7-2 overall, 3-0 in conference play.
The Lady Dawgs sit atop the Northwest "A" Conference.
The boys have had a solid start to the season, picking up a big win against Eureka and sit at 5-4 overall, 1-2 in league play.
The Dawgs currently sit in the middle of the pack in the Northwest "A".
Both teams are gearing up for a prime time showdown against Bigfork to get the second half of the season underway. From hear on out, every game matters.
The top three teams in the conference guarantees themselves a spot in the Western "A" Divisional Tournament. The remaining four will battle things out in the Play-In, with the winner of that mini tournament representing the conference's No. 4 seed at Divisionals.
You could say the true season starts now.
To get things ready for their showdown against Bigfork I had the pleasure of catching up with both teams head coaches, Bob Bolam and Landon Henderson to give a mid-season report.
Both Whitefish Basketball teams return to action, Saturday, playing host to Bigfork for a double header. The girls take the hardwood first at 5pm, with the boys game to follow.
Catch both games live on 102.7FM & 1240AM Outlaw Country. You can stream the game live at 1027outlaw.com. Don't forget to download the free 102.7 Outlaw App as well.
Don't forget, the Winter Carnival right around the corner. In between both Varsity games will be the reveal of the new Prince Frey and Princess Freya. Stay tuned!
