Whitefish Basketball Sweep Eureka in Dominant Fashion

Both Whitefish Basketball teams were back in action, Friday, as they traveled up to Eureka for a double header.

The boys would hit the hardwood first as they took on former Northwest "A" Foe, Lincoln County, in an interclass matchup.

The Dawgs would shutout the Lions in the first quarter of action, leading 12-0, after the opening frame.

Whitefish extended that lead in the 2nd and took a 28-6 lead into the halftime locker-room.

In the 3rd quarter, there was a concentrated effort to get the ball inside as Finn Ryan would bully his way to 9 points in the quarter.

The Dawgs cruised to the 66-25 victory.

Whitefish saw the entire roster play in this one as 10 players scored in the contest.

Will Sisson led the way with 13 while Ryan dropped in 11. Aiden Rickels and Reyd Hobart scored 8 each.

In the nightcap, the Lady Dawgs would too win big.

On a night where Allie Shors wouldn't play, the supporting cast stepped up.

The Lady Dawgs led 13-9 after one. Whitefish would get into foul trouble in the second as Eureka used that to hang around. Whitefish led 30-20 at the half.

Whitefish would really open things up in the 3rd as Avery Orme took over. Orme scored 9 in the frame. Whitefish built there lead up to 46-29 by the end of the quarter and coasted to the 68-37 victory.

The girls had 10 players score in this game as well. Orme led the way with 25 while Reese Hudson droped in 12. Stella Frisbee added 6.

Following all the action the Whitefish Girls have now won 4 straight and sit at 7-2 on the season, 3-0 in conference play.

For the Boys, they improve to 5-4 overall and sit at 1-2 in league play.
