Both Whitefish Basketball teams were back in action, Thursday night, taking on Browning.
The boys were at home with the girls on the road.
Thursday night showed just how much the Northwest "A" is starting to heat up.
We'll start with a look at the boys game.
Browning came into the contest as the top team in the conference.
Whitefish was looking for an upset win.
Whitefish quickly started out in front but Browning showed they can score with anyone on the floor and built a 21-13 advantage after 1.
The Dawgs played high caliber basketball in the 2nd quarter, trimmed down the lead and went into the hafltime locker-room, down 33-27.
The third quarter was about as electric as it gets. Browning started the quarter off on an 8-0 run, Whitefish battled back. Reyd Hobart hit two 3's in the frame, one in the final seconds but Browning's Layton Wing beat the buzzer with a near half court heave and the score was 48-43 after 3, Browning.
The Dawgs showed plenty of fight but Browning had an answer every time and held on for the 64-57 win.
Whitefish was led by Will Sisson with 17. Reyd Hobart had arguably his best game of the season dropping in 15, all from beyond the arc.
Browning was led by Royce Madplume with 18 while Reis Reevis added 12 and Layton Wing had 11.
