Practice has officially begun for the 2025 High School Sports Season in the Treasure State.
The Whitefish Bulldog Football team held their first official practice of the season, on Friday.
The Dawgs are coming off a 2024 campaign that saw them go 7-4 on the season, including playoffs.
They finished 3rd in the Western A Division and hosted Bigfork in an unforgettable playoff game at the Dog Pound.
The Dawgs lost some stellar athletes last year: Carson Gulick, Scotty Dalen, Avery Caton, CJ Thew and Riley Zetooney, just to name a few.
However, the Dawgs have re-loaded for 2025. Cole Moses and Aaron Anderson look to be anchors on both offense and defense. Whitefish will see Luke Dalen and Bear Barker battle it out for the starting QB.
As the 2025 season gets set, her from both Aaron Anderson and Cole Moses to preview the season ahead.
Also, new for 2025 is the return to conferences. The MHSA did away with the Eastern-Western Divisions and we're back to conferences. Whitefish is back in the Northwest "A" that also features Columbia Falls, Libby, Ronan, Bigfork and Polson.
And with the return to conferences, comes the return of old rivalries.
Whitefish will open the season on Friday August 29th as they play host to Havre. The Railroad trophy is back up for grabs as the Dawgs and Blue Ponies open the season once again.
All Whitefish Football games can be heard on 102.7FM and 1240AM Outlaw Country. Kick-off at 7pm.
