For the first time since 2021 the Whitefish Girls Basketball team will be competing in post-season play.
This marks the program’s eighth divisional tournament appearance since 2000, unofficially joining teams that qualified in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2021.
The Lady Dawgs finsihed the 2025-26 season as the No. 2 seed out of the Northwest "A". They posted a 13-5 overall record and finished 9-3 in conference play.
Whitefish is led by a core of Freshman and Sophomores that have shown the sky is the limit.
Whitefish has some marquee wins on their resume. They defeated Bigfork and Columbia Falls in back-to-back games. Those wins secured them the No. 2 Seed.
They showed they can compete with the East as they split a pair of games at the East-West Tip-off Tournnament.
Now they get set for Divisional Tournament play.

This year's Western "A" Divisional Tournament takes place in Hamiltion. Whitefish will open Divisional Tourney play, on Thursday, against Corvallis.
Tip-off is scheduled for 12 noon.
