Whitefish to Host Rival Columbia Falls in Friday Night Clash

The Cat-Dog Rivalry gets renewed Friday night as the Whitefish Bulldog Football team will play host to their arch rivals, the Columbia Falls Wildcats.

The Dawgs enter the contest riding a 4-game win streak and sit at 4-1 on the season.

Columbia Falls has won their last two contests and currently sit at 2-3 on the year.

Both teams are 2-0 in conference play.

After a slow start, offensively, this year Whitefish is averaging over 35 points a contest with C-Falls scoring just over 20 a game.

Whitefish has given up just 40 points all season, that's an average of 8 against. They've allowed just 13 points over their last four games.

Columbia Falls gives up roughly 20 per game.

There's a lot on the line Friday:

    It's Senior Night for Whitefish.

    Winner clinches a playoff berth.

Winner controls their own destiny for a possible No. 1 seed for the playoffs.

Plus bragging rights over your rival.

Prio to the contest I caught up with Head Coach of the Bulldogs, Brett Bollweg, to preview the contest.
