The Whitefish Volleyball team was back in action, Tuesday night, as they played host to Polson.
Polson is the top team in the conference and Whitefish went toe-to-toe with the Pirates.
The Lady Dawgs took the Lady Pirates to 5 sets: 17-25, 15-25, 25-15-25-16, 7-15.
Head Coach Addy Connelly was proud of the fight shown by the girls:
"On a five game battle Polson came out on top. Whitefish showed some gritty play that has been missing the past few weeks. They played well together and practice into the game. The front row did a great job as our first line of defense while the back row moved well in unison. Allie Shors mixed up the sets and the hitters swung aggressively."
Some top performers show:
Camry Kelch- 18 digs and 14 kills.
Allie Shors- 27 assists and 15 digs.
Eleanor Archie- 19 digs.
Annabelle Barrile- 10 kills.
With the loss Whitefish drops to 6-6 on the season, 4-4 in conference play.
Whitefish currently holds onto the No. 4 spot in the conference and are in line to host the Play-in.
Whitefish has just two matches remaining the season, at Browning, on Thursday. They host Columbia Falls on Tuesday the 28th, to close out the season.
