The Whitefish High School Wrestling Teams were in Billings, over the weekend, taking part in the All Class State Wrestling Tournament.
The Dawgs had 6 wrestlers qualify for State: Carter Olson, Paxton Elm, Sam Akey, Kaycee Orvis, Orla Sullivan and Taylor Dorvall.
Dorvall would lead the way for Whitefish taking home 2nd place honors.
Dorvall cruised through her first two matches, winning 3-0 in each one.
In the semi-finals she matched-up with Charlee Lund, out of Belgrade. This was a hard fought match that saw Dorvall outlast the opponent, winning 10-8.
Dorvall would fall in the Championship, 5-0, to Julia Kay out of Kalispell Flathead.
Dorvall was the only Whitefish Wrestler to place at State.
Carter Olson would win 2 of his matches while Sam Akey won one.
Sidney won the Team Title for Class A Boys.
Billings West won the Boys Team Title for AA.
Huntley Project won the B/C Team Title.
Billings Senior Won the Girls Team Title.
