    • Star athlete at Whitefish High School (basketball & football)

    • Starting guard on the 1970 Whitefish Bulldogs basketball team that won the state championship

    • Earned All-State honors in both basketball and football in high school

    • Played college baseball (shortstop at Mesa Community College; second base at Gonzaga University)

    • Recognized among the Outstanding College Athletes of America

    • Nearly 20 years coaching basketball at Whitefish High School

    • Led Whitefish basketball to 16 state tournament appearances

    • Compiled 326 wins (and 123 losses) over 20 seasons coaching basketball at Whitefish High School.

    • Coached the Whitefish team to the 1990–91 state basketball championship

    • Instrumental in founding and building the regional baseball program Glacier Twins — positively impacting young athletes and community sports in the Flathead Valley
