The Whitefish Football team played host to Dillon, Friday night, to open post-season play.

This was the first round of the MHSA Class "A" Playoffs.

Luke Dalen ran for three touchdowns and passed for one as the Dawgs took control in the 2nd half to win 36-12.

Whitefish would score the first touchdown of the game but found themselves down early in the 2nd, 12-7.

On their first drive of the 2nd quarter, the Dawgs marched down the field and scored on a Dalen to Keenan Curtiss 22 yard pass to put Whitefish up 13-12. Whitefish would go for two, to make it 15-12.

Dillon who had scored on their first two drives were marching down the field on drive number 3. They had it 4th and less than a yard on the Whitefish 40 and decided to go for it. Whitefish got the stop and that would flip the game.

Whitefish would score once more in the 2nd, forced one mor turnover on downs in the quarter and took a 22-12 lead into the intermission.

The Dawgs took over in the 3rd quarter.

Dillon opened the 2nd half with a huge kick-off return that set them up at the Whitefish 35 but the Dawgs forced the Beavers to go backwards and punt.

Dalen on the ensuing possession took it 48 yards to the house as Whitefish began to take over.

Dalen would score again, later in the frame from 3 yards out as the Dawgs could taste the victory.

Both teams would go scoreless in the final frame.
