It was Homecoming, Friday night, as the Whitefish High School Football team played host to Polson.

The Dawg Pound was rocking and Whitefish put on a show.

Brody Forthofer hauled in a pair of touchdown grabs and returned a kick for a TD as the Dawgs downed the Pirates 49-3.

Luke Dalen got the party started with a 49 yard touchdown run and Whitefish led 7-0 after one quarter of play

Vance Schwaiger would find paydirt early in the 2nd, from 6 yards out, to give Whitefish a 13-0 victory.

After a Polson Field Goal the Dawgs would strike for a third time.

Brody Forthofer hauled in the kick at about the 20, on the near side, bounced it back to the left, got a block, and took off for an 80 yard Kick Return TD. Whitefish was successful on the 2-point conversion and took a 21-3 lead into the intermission.

At halftime Luke Dalen and Carmela Forcone were named Homecoming King and Queen.

Following the break in action, the Dawgs picked up right where they left off.

Dalen found Forthofer twice on passing TD's, Schwaiger had another rushing touchdown and Sam Rainford hit paydirt as well.

Following all the action, Whitefish is now 6-0 overall, 2-0 in conference play.

Up Next: 1st place in the Northwest "A" is up for grabs as the Dawgs travel to Columbia Falls for a huge Dog-Cat Rivalry showdown. Kick-off at 7pm.
