Both Whitefish Basketball teams would get conference play underway last week.
The girls were home on Thrusday and Friday with the boys on the road both days.
On Thursday, the Lady Dawgs played host to Libby. This not only marked the start of conference play but was also the home opener for the girls.
This turned out to be one of the biggest conference wins for the Whitefish girls in recent memory.
Whitefish got out to an early 19-2 lead and never looked back.
They led 34-11 at the half at cruised to the 59-19 victory.
Allie Shors led the way with 21 points while Avery Orme added 18.
Libby was led by Rylee Delmas with 10.

As for the Whitefish boys, on Thursday, they were on the road to face Libby and came away with a 74-33 win.
On Friday, both teams would take on Browning with the girls at home and the boys on the road.
This might be the game that puts the Whitefish girls on the map.
Browning plays a brand of defense that is extremely hard to prepare for.
Whitefish showed resiliance and overcome 26 turnovers to win the game 47-42.
The game was all knotted up at 10 apiece after one quarter of play and the Lady Indians took an 18-16 lead into the halftime locker room.
Browning would open up the third quarter scoring and led by as many as 8 points in the frame but the Lady Dawgs would answer. They would begin to turn the tables, using Browning's pressure against them and trailed by just 1, 28-27 entering the final frame.
Whitefish used a 20-point 4th quarter to put the game away. Reese Hudson scored 10 of her game high 18 in the final frame and Allie Shors made 6 of her 8 free throws, in the 4th, to lead the Lady Dawgs to a big win.
Hudson led the way with 18 points while Avery Orme and Allie Shors had 10 each.
Whitefish had just 4 turnovers in the 2nd half and finished 18-34 at the Free Throw Line.
Browning was led by Kendee Ollinger with 11 points. As a team they finished 6-20 at the Free Throw line.

As for the Whitefish boys, they would fall 68-60 at Browning to drop their first conference game.
Following all the weekend's action the Whitefish girls have started out the season 2-0 in conference play, 5-2 overall.
The Whitefish boys are 1-1 to open conference play, 4-3 overall.
