Whitefish High School and area schools took part in the 2025 Special Olympics Bowling Championship on February 4th in Bigfork.
In all there were 20 teams that competed.
Whitefish had 8 athletes show out for the team: Christian-Gold, Austin-Silver, Carmine-Gold, Gavin-Gold, Dixon-Silver, Alaina-Gold, Jeffrey-Gold, Rhyanna-Gold.
Special Olympics Mission "is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community."
Their Vision "is an inclusive world for all, driven by the power of sport, through which people with intellectual disabilities live active, healthy, and fulfilling lives."
