Bulldog Football Steamrolls Havre to Open '26 Season

The Whitefish Bulldog Football team kicked-off the 2026 season, on Friday, as they renewed an old school railroad rivalry with the Havre Blue Ponies.

The Dawgs had 3 kick returns for a touchdown, Luke Dalen totaled over 300 yards of offense and Whitefish dominated in their first game of the season, defeating Havre 50-20.

Havre scored the first 7 points of the game but it was all Whitefish after that.

The Dawgs racked up 43 unanswered points to help put the game away.

Whitefish's first score of the game was an 80 yard kick-off return for a touchdown, by Vlad Shestak.

Luke Dalen then scored on a 12 yard rush to put the Dawgs up, 14-7. After a safety gave the Dawgs a 16-7 lead, Brody Forthofer returned a kick for 60 yards to give the Dawgs the 23-7 lead.

Whitefish took the 16-point advantage into the halftime locker-room.

In the third quarter, Whitefish picked up right where they left off. Dalen hit Forthofer for a beautiful 30 yard touchdown pass midway through the 3rd. Later in the quarter Dalen took a run up the gut for 73 yards.

Whitefish then opened the fourth with a 5 yard TD pass from Dalen to Shestak.

Havre would get a couple of scores late in the game. Forthofer would finish things off in the final minute with his 2nd Kick Return TD of the game, this time from 80 yards out.
