It was Senior Night, Friday, as the Whitefish Bulldogs played host to arch rival, Columbia Falls.

Columbia Falls scored 19 unansered points in the 4th quarter to rally for a huge 19-18 victory on the evening.

Whitefish looked dominant early in this one, scoring 12 first quarter points. An early missed PAT forced the Dawgs to go for two and they wouldn't convert.

The game would slow down in the 2nd quarter as the two defenses settled into the contest. Whitefish put together an excellent 2-minute drive to end the 1st half, capped off by a Tait Orme 27 yard Field Goal.

The defense stopped C-Falls at the 3 yard line to preserve the 15-0 halftime lead.

During halftime the Senior were honored:

Whitefish would ge the ball to start the 2nd half and put together a great drive to start the frame. The Dawgs held the ball for nearly 8 minutes with the drive ending with a 38 yard Field goal from Tait Orme.

Whitefish went into the 4th quarter up 18-0.

Then disaster struck... The rain began to fall and the Dawgs dominant defense became pourous.

Columbia Falls would scroe early in the 4th on a Banyan Johnston deep ball to Easton Brroks to cut into the lead.

After a 3-and-out, C-Falls would use a 5 yard pass and catch from Jory Hill who did the rest with his feet, scoring from 50 yards out.

In a blink of an eye the score was 18-13.

Whitefish needed a drive, late in the 4th. The Dawgs did just that, put one together. They had the ball 1st and 10 at the opposition's 30 with 5+ minutes in the game. The Dawgs called a reverse, lost 15 yards on the play and couldn't recover.

Whitefish was forced to punt and on the play the ball was snapped over the punters head putting the ball at the 30 on the other side of the field.

C-Falls would score several plays later on 4th and 5 to take the lead.

C-Falls would come away with an interception on their next defensive possession to seal it.

Whitefish suffers their first conference loss of the season. They're now 4-2 overall, 2-1 in league play.

Up Next: Whitefish is back on the road, this time traveling to Libby. Whitefish is still in line to host a playoff game but must win out. With a win vs. Libby Whitefish can officially clinch a playoff berth. A win vs. Bigfork the following week could then give Whitefish a home playoff game.
