The Whitefish Bulldog Football team closed out the regular season, Friday night, as they were in Bigfork facing the Vikings.

Whitefish used a furious rally late, scoring 12 points in the final quarter to defeat the Vikings 22-21 and clinch the No. 2 seed for the Playoffs.

Both teams would score on their opening drive with Bigfork's Treker Hickey rushing it in from 6 yards out.

Whitefish would respond on their opening drive as Luke Dalen found Vlad "Big Play" Shestak for an 18 yard Touchdown Pass & Catch.

The game was tied after one quarter of play, 7-7.

The Dawgs would get back on the scoreboard late in the 2nd quarter as Tait Orme knocked through a 34 yard Field Goal to give Whitefish the 10-7 lead.

The Vikings would respond. Bigfork marched down the field and Cole Schmit found his big Tight End Austin Savik for a 5 yard Touchdown to close out the first half.

Bigfork led 14-10 at the intermission.

The third quarter was a quick moving frame with Bigfork scoring on a Tayden West 1 yard TD run. The Vikings went up 21-10 at that point and had scored 14 unanswered.

After the Dawgs were forced punt, Bigfork was knocking on the door once again. Bigfork started the 4th quarter with the ball, had 4th and 2 at the Whitefish 18 yards line. The Vikings kept the offense on the field instead of kicking a 35 yard Field Goal. Whitefish was ready. Bigfork would complete the pass but were stopped for no gain on the play as Whitefish forced the big Turnover on Downs.

On ensuing drive, a Cole Moses 35 yard run put the Dawgs in plus territory. Whitefish would score a few plays later on a Moses 1 yard run to cut into the lead 21-16.

Whitefish would then force a 3-and-out, blocked a punt  and got the ball back with 5 minutes to go, looking for the lead.

The Dawgs marched down the field, bleeding clock and Luke Dalen would dash it in from 5 yards out to give the Dawgs back the lead, 22-21, with 2:28 to go.

The very next kick-off is where the Play of the Game occured. Braylon Dunn executed a perfect pooch kick to the far side 30 and Austin Alton turned on the burners revocvering the kick to give the Dawgs possession of the ball.

Cole Moses would carry the ball 3 times in a row to ice the game and give the Dawgs the one point victory.
