Frenchtown to Much for Whitefish Basketball to Overcome

    Both Whitefish Basketball teams took to the hardwood, Tuesday, facing off with non-conference foe, Frenchtown.

    It was the home opener for the Bulldog Boys with the girls on the road.

    Boys:
    Frenchtown proved early why they were a perennial power in Class "A", a year ago.

    The Broncs got out to an early lead and never looked back.

    They led 19-8 after one quarter of play and that lead ballooned to 39-18 at the half. 

    Whitefish would find some success in the third quarter but the Broncs had full control by then and cruised to the 75-47 victory.

    Whitefish was led by Will Sisson with 20 points while Finn Ryan had 9.

    Frenchtown had eight players score, led by Hank Smith with 20. Copper Michaud added 19. Michaud was 5-7 from 3-point range.

    With the loss Whitefish falls to 2-1 on the season.

    Girls:
    The Whitefish girls were in Frenchtown for the evening.

    The Lady Broncs came away with a 65-29 victory to improve to 4-0 on the season.

    Whitefish falls to 2-1 on the season.

    Up Next: Both Whitefish Basketball teams will be in Butte, this weekend, Friday December 19th and Saturday December 20th, taking part in the East-West Tip-Off Tournament.

    Friday: Both Whitefish teams will face Glendive. The Bulldog Boys are scheduled to play at 2:30pm with the girls to follow at at 4pm.

    Saturday: Both Whitefish teams will take on Sidney. TheBoys are scheduled for 11am with the girls at 12:30pm.
