Senior Night Victory: Bulldog Baseball Thumps Eureka

It was Senior Night for the Whitefish Bulldog Baseball team, Wednesday, as they hosted Eureka.

The Dogs honored their 5 Seniors Pre-Game: Max Barone, Avery Caton, Ryan Conklin, Calvin Eisenbarth and Christian Schwaderer.

On their night, the Seniors would show out and power The Dawgs to victory.

Logan Stewart took to the hill for his 5th start of the season. He went 5.1 IP, gave up 7 hits, 3 runs (2 earned) and struck out 2.

Eureka would get on the board 1st, in the top of the second with an RBI Single by Tristan Libby.

The Dogs would answer in the bottom of the third as Ryan Conklin connected on an RBI single to bring home Calvin Eisenbarth. That tied the game at 1-1.

Whitefish would open up the game with a 5-run 5th inning.

After a Max Barone Single, Conklin would walk and Christian Schwaderer beat out a Sacrifice Bunt for a single to Load the Bases.

That brought up Avery Caton. Caton delivered with a bases clearing triple to give the Dawgs a 4-1 lead.

Tait Orme would then add another with a RBI double and Drew Queen brought one in to score as he reached on an error.

Eureka would tack on two more in the 6th only to have the Dawgs respond again.

Whitefish scored 6-runs in the 6th.

Tait Orme had a 2-RBI Double, Queen had an RBI Single, Carter Godsey had a 2RBI Single and Barone connected on an RBI Double in the frame.

Bear Barker would toss the final 1.2 innings to close the door.

Whitefish may be eliminated from post-season play but they sent the seniors out on a high note.

Whitefish is now 13-5 on the season and finishes conference play 10-4.
