Both Whitefish Basketball teams were back in action, Tuesday night, taking on Ronan.
The Girls were at home while the boys hit the road.
The Lady Dawgs continued their strong play and are shwoing that they can win in a variety of ways.
Whitefish would open the game on a 7-2 run and led after the 1st quarter 13-9.
The Lady Dawgs would push their lead to 12 in the 2nd quarter but the Maidens would not back down. After Whitefish held the lead at 24-12, Ronan closed out the 1st half on a 9-2 run and the Lady Dawgs took a 26-21 lead into the halftime break.
Whitefish would again grab a double digit lead in the 3rd only for Ronan to claw back. It was a 38-32 lead for the Lady Dawgs after 3.
Ronan opened the 4th on a 4-0 run, forcing Whitefish to call a time out. Like they've done several times already this season the Whitefish girls showed poise as they closed out the game. After the early 4-0 run the Lady Dawgs held Ronan to just 6 more points in the quarter as Whitefish was able to close out the contest with timely shooting and stifling defense. Whitefish held on for the 48-42 victory.
Allie Shors led the way with 15 points while her sister had 14. Avery Orme dropped in 11 points while Reese Hudson had 8.
