    Whitefish Baseball Wallops C-Falls in Crucial Conference Game

    The Whitefish Bulldog Baseball team was back in action, Thursday, as they hit the road for a crucial conference contest against rivals, Columbia Falls.

    The Dawgs put together arguabley their best game of the season

    With the conference as tight as it is, starting 2nd baseman Drew Queen called this "a must win game."

    The Dawgs pulled out all the stops. Tait Orme picthed a complete game, allowing 2 runs on on 5 hits and struck out a season high 11 batters.

    Whitefish totaled 15 hits in the contest and the Dawgs picked up a huge 10-2 win.

    Whitefish opened the game with a 4-run 2nd inning. They scored 1 run in the 3rd, 5th and 6th and picked up 3 big one's in the 7th to put the game away.

    Every Bulldog pikced up a hit. Carter Godsey led the way with 3, Cullen Wallace picked up his first varsity hit of the season and Whitefish tallied 4 extra base hits in the contest.

    The biggest part of the 8-run victory is Whitefish now holds the tiebreaker over C-Falls.

    With the win, Whitefish now improves to 10-5 on the season, 7-3 in conference play. C-Falls drops to 10-4 overall, 8-3 in league play.

    Up Next: Whitefish will play host to an old non-conference rival, Friday (today), for a 5pm first pitch.
